Flymeon is an artist at the crossroads of so-called “hard” music genres. He operates within the hard techno scene, as reflected in his productions, which meet the defining criteria of the genre. However, his distinctive approach lies in incorporating instruments and sonic elements drawn from heavy metal and hard rock into his hard techno sound. Beyond these instruments and textures, Flymeon channels an entire heavy metal aesthetic, particularly on stage: he uses genre-typical guitars, wears an aggressively styled mask, and delivers a high-energy, physical performance.
Flymeon is therefore an original and truly unique project. While a few artists have explored the fusion of hard techno and heavy metal, none push it to such intensity, bringing into a style that is originally 100% electronic and “by DJs, for DJs” the sonic textures, visual universe, and instruments of an entirely different world: heavy metal.
This strong positioning has earned him recognition within the techno scene. He has notably released music on Rave Alert Records and Revised Records, two heavyweights of the genre. Here is a non-exhaustive list of venues and events where he has performed: Verknipt, Warehouse Nantes, Komplex Lisbon, Nature One Festival, Hex Techno Movement, La Machine du Moulin Rouge, Toxicator Festival, the legendary Rex Club, Fabrik Madrid, and Le Petit Salon in Lyon.
